What is the Full Form of CAD ?

CAD - Computer Aided Design

Computer Aided Design is the use of computer system that enables engineers, drafters, artists, and architects to design curves and figures in two-dimensional (2D) and in three-dimensional (3D) space. In electronic design, it is known as Electronic Design Automation (EDA), and in Mechanical design, computer-aided drafting (CAD) or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).

A CAD system may combine a hardware, software, a high-quality graphics monitor, a light pen for drawing and a special printer for printing design specifications. These devices allows engineers to draw figures and angles with the push of a button, and zoom in or out for going near or far on the fly.

The Computer Aided Design has completely removed the manual process of creating figures and angles with an automated one. Along with that, an engineer just need to focus on one value to be changed, and all the related values will be modified accordingly.
