What is the Full Form of DTSi ?

DTSi - Digital Twin Spark ignition

Digital Twin Spark ignition is the patented technology of Bajaj Auto. They use this technology in their most selling motorcycle brand "Bajaj Pulsar". Bajaj Pulsar DTSi comes in 5 different variants on the basis of the capacity of their engine. The smallest one is the 135 cc bike which is followed by  the line of 150 cc, 180cc, 200cc, and the bike with the biggest engine Pulsar 220 DTS-i.

What actually is DTS-i technology ?
A Digital Twin Spark ignition engine has two spark plugs located at opposite ends of the combustion chambers which makes the combustion process  more fast and efficient. The use of two spark plugs makes the burning of the mixture inside the engine "uniform" in all areas, thereby reducing the  problem of 'ignition lag' in a single spark engine.

This fast and efficient combustion leads to better fuel efficiency and lowers' the emission. DTS-I engines produces less noise and vibrations,  increases the life of engine parts, decreases the overheating and improves the fuel efficiency of the vehicle.
