DSLR - Digital Single Lens Reflex

DSLR uses a single lens reflex (SLR) mechanism, but always use removable lenses only and the same sensor chip for every shot. Holding the camera against the face helps steady it. Since 2007, DSLRs began to include automatic systems for dust reduction or removal. In addition, DSLRs have a "mirror lockup" function that flips the mirror out of the way to expose the sensor for cleaning.
