NSG - National Security Guards

The National Security Guard (राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा गार्ड, in Hindi) is an armed force that works under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The NSG personnel are often referred to as 'Black Cat Commandos' because of the black dress and the black cat sign on their uniform.

The force came into existence in 1984 following the blue star operation and the assassination of the then Prime Minister "Indira Gandhi". The main motto behind the creation of NSG was to combat against terrorist activities and to protect the states against internal disturbances.
