APJ Abdul Kalam - Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam

Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam was the 11th President of India and a former Indian scientist, a Missile Man of India. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born in 1931 at Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. 

Academics - He did his schooling in Ramanathapuram district, for college he moved to Triuchirapalli and did his diploma in Engineering from IIT, Chennai.

Career - He started his career with DRDO in 1958 and five year later he joined ISRO. He received numerous awards including Padam Bhushan, Padam Vibhushan and Bharat Ratan. Then APJ Abdul Kalam served as the 11th President of India from the period 2002 to 2007.
